Vijay Varma as cop
The trailer for Kaalkoot begins with Vijay, a police officer, writing a resignation letter to his superior. Vijay claims that the recent cases that he has been assigned have taken a mental toll on him and he wants to leave the force. However, his resignation is rejected and he’s sent back to investigate an acid attack case. Vijay is shown in his khaki uniform and it’s clear that he’s not happy about being stationed in a small town. The trailer then cuts to a scene of the acid attack victim. The victim is screaming in pain and Vijay is trying to get information from her. The trailer ends with Vijay’s determination to find the attacker and bring them to justice.
Shweta Tripathi, Vijay’s Mirzapur co-star, is playing an acid attack survivor in the case Vijay’s character is probing. We also see glimpses of Seema Biswas and Gopal Datt, in a rugged form as his superior police officer.
